Gratitude

Gratitude is one of many positive emotions.  It is about focusing on what is good in our lives and being grateful for the things we have.  It prompts us to recognize and appreciate things we often take for granted, such as a place to live, food, clean water, friends, family, even access to a computer.  It expresses appreciation for what one has.
In the Vedas, gratitude is said to be the ornament of man.  It is such a jewel that wearing it not only benefits oneself but also inspires the society.  The glory of the society is immortal, one who is grateful and sensitive to all. The person who feels gratitude is grateful for what he has, and does not constantly seek more. Hence feeling and expressing gratitude  Doing something helps you and the people around you feel good, and as a result spreads the good feelings even more.
But there is a misconception about gratitude that people think that they should be grateful because they are living a better life than many others living in poverty or other circumstances.  But no, that is completely wrong. Their gratitude is dependent on the suffering of others.  Someone else's condition cannot be the measure of our achievements in life.  We should be grateful for our existence, grateful for nature and appreciate everything around us that makes us feel happy.
Gratitude is a skill that is worth developing, a skill that you need.
